Athletics: Spring Season

The softball team will be defending their district championships; 2010 and 2011. They bring back several strong players and they will seek a third straight district title.

The baseball team is young but they have several strong players. This program will build and be a strong team for years to come.

Our home games are at the Ormond Sports Complex. Come out and support the teams this year!

Open House Extravaganza Saturday, March 3rd

Families interested in the 2012-'13 school year and all existing families are invited to join us from 5 PM to 8 PM for a school open house event.

The evening will kick off with a chili dinner at 5:00 and fun events for kids. Then they can visit their classroom from 6 PM to 7 PM. We will have a vision of the school address from the Head of School and other departments at 7 PM in the school gym.

Band Trip on April 5th, 2012- Disney Performing Arts

Calvary Christian Academy Band will be participating in the Disney Performing Arts Program.

Thursday, April 5th, 2012 the high school band will go with Mrs. Johnson to participate with the Disney Performing Arts. The students are excited about this band trip and the opportunity to do something memorable and affordable. The cost for a full day at Disney which includes meals is $100. We will be playing in the workshops with the Disney Concert Instructors. The CCA Band will be doing a few fundraisers to help keep the cost affordable.

New and Returning Students Applying at CCA

All new students K-8th must take an entrance exam for admittance to CCA. All new 9th-12th grade students must have a 3.0 from a state recognized school in order to exempt testing. We are a college prep school and our vision is to raise the bar in academics.

Any returning student with a GPA lower than a 2.0 at the end of semester two; must re-test to return to CCA.

Washington DC: 9th-12th trip- March 12-14, 2012

The Washington DC trip is scheduled for grades 9th-12th on March 12th-14th, 2012.

The overall cost is $460.00; which covers bus travel, events and two meals a day.

We have 45 student spots available. The spots will fill and students who do not attend will be required to attend classes as scheduled.
